#BestSchoolDay Across the USA

We are excited to share news of a recent effort by a partner in championing teachers. In an “act of mass philanthropy” called #BestSchoolDayDonorsChoose.org has coordinated a flash-funding of teacher projects in cities and counties across the United States on the morning of March 10, 2016.

Intrepid Funded All of the San Joaquin County Projects

The Intrepid Philanthropy Foundation is proud to be a part of this effort by funding all DonorsChoose.org teacher projects in San Joaquin County, CA.  We’ve been a long-time supporter of teachers in this region of California.

Educators in the rural Central Valley face many challenges. The energy, intelligence and creativity they use to address those challenges help prepare their students academically and for life. We’re proud that some of the current LIGHT Awards projects are based in San Joaquin County schools.

Partnership with DonorsChoose.org

Intrepid Philanthropy Foundation considers DonorsChoose.org to be an ally in our mission of supporting, valuing, and honoring teachers. We are proud to be a part of the March 2016 #BestSchoolDay!

For more information, please see The Huffington Post coverage and map of all the classroom projects being funded (includes President/Founder of Intrepid Philanthropy Foundation Karen Leshner‘s personal reflection on her best school day ever),  and the CBS News coverage of the announcement.

And, if you can, join more than 50 actors, athletes, entrepreneurs and philanthropists in supporting classrooms across America via DonorsChoose.org.
