A team of high school Computer Science teachers from multiple school districts is collaborating to create a Professional Learning Community to prepare to teach a new AP Computer Science course beginning in the fall of 2015.

The six teachers participating teachers represent Wilcox High School (Santa Clara, CA), Santa Clara High School (Santa Clara, CA), Independence High School (San Jose, CA) and Silver Creek High School (San Jose, CA). The team leader attended an off-site training for the new course during the summer of 2014 and the rest of the team members will attend trainings during the summer of 2015. Throughout the grant period, team members are meeting to craft, share and revise implementation plans, as well as determine how to train other interested teachers at their school sites.
