William C Overfelt High School, San Jose
Our goal with this professional development project is to create a self-sustaining ethnic studies program with increased education and planning time to make interdisciplinary ES Pedagogy a reality across campus. This project would further support community collaboration, curriculum design, classroom instruction and behavioral responses in alignment with ES principles to work towards making our campus an Anti-Racist school community. It is our goal to use the grant to create a model of professional development that builds the expertise of the teacher team and expands in following years.
