This team of Spanish teachers’ goal is to modernize their World Language Department by training in teaching strategies that focus on communication and meeting the national standards created by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL).They will create and pilot common assessments, pacing guides, and templates for all the modes of communication for each level of Spanish. These resources will facilitate their department’s transition to an updated proficiency based method of instruction. The team members will continue to grow as learners through attendance at the ACTFL conference and through workshops and consultant work.
