Encinal Junior and Senior High School, Alameda

This team of six middle and high school teachers will systematically consider their students’ learning, with a structure of collegial discussion focused on data. As teachers, classroom time occurs rapidly with little time to think deeply. Through looking carefully at data together, the cross-curricular team will untangle complexities in their classrooms, challenge their thinking, and provide consistent learning experiences for their students. Their work will have the secondary effect of building inquiry and coaching capacity to facilitate more high-quality collaboration at their school. Mills Teacher Scholars will facilitate the process, helping to develop data collection/analysis and coaching skills.
