This team of teachers plans to deepen their knowledge of effective teaching practices and, in the process, build the capacity of the math team to serve as peer coaches. The team will undertake deep learning about Complex Instruction (CI) as an instructional strategy, which will include outside coaching to help develop their repertoire of teacher moves that they can use in the classroom to support effective group work. They will build on that work as the math team continues to take a deep dive into CI while also expanding this work beyond classrooms to coach non-math team peers on the implementation of CI.
