Arroyo High School, San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo High School, San Lorenzo

These four high school teachers will develop climate change units through four disciplines (life science, earth science, chemistry, and physics). California Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) require that students understand climate change cross-disciplinarily. The team will create global change storylines from all four science perspectives, at three different grade levels. With support from development days, classroom observations, training in Berkeley’s Understanding Global Change (UGC) resources, and conferences, they will identify engaging problems for students to solve, design cross-curricular lessons around the problems, and share the curriculum at conferences and in science teaching publications.
