This team of teachers aims to support the unique literacy needs of English Language Learners taking Advanced Placement classes by engaging English Language Development (ELD) experts.
Team members will attend the California Association of Bilingual Education (CABE) Conference and the AP by the Sea Conference, among other trainings. In their school community, teachers will collaborate to implement curricular strategies, including structuring peer observations and student feedback. At the end of the grant period, team members will organize an AP teacher retreat to present their process and findings, hold a student panel, and engage in dialogue on next steps.
