Dolores Huerta Elementary, San Francisco

Six elementary school teachers will work with experts to enhance their knowledge of anti-racist, abolitionist pedagogy. The team will work with a racial equity coach, participate in school site visits, and attend professional learning workshops to develop their skills. By observing their peers anti-racist teaching in action, their school’s teacher leaders will apply their knowledge and reflect on their observations over their two year grant period. The grant will allow for creative space to develop a Spanish Bilingual Pre-K -5th grade ethnic studies service learning curriculum, honoring the legacy of legacy of community action and social justice of their school’s namesake, Dolores Huerta.
