This project will give our Visual Arts team a focused, teacher-driven professional learning that strengthens how we teach studio art. Through hands-on workshops, artist studio visits, and classes with Bay Area arts organizations, we will deepen our skills in printmaking, sculpture, photography, new media and related practices. Funding will also support guest teaching artists and sub days so teachers can participate in daytime learning. This work addresses a gap in our current PD and directly shapes classroom practice, allowing us to teach with greater depth, coherence across grade levels, and clearer pathways for students building strong portfolios.
