Katherine R. Smith Elementary School, San Jose

This team of five elementary school teaches will learn and implement GLAD (Guided Language Acquisition Design) strategies to build academic language and the ability to express learning through writing. With a high English Language Learner population at their school, they hope to integrate GLAD strategies within their Project Based Learning (PBL) structure to support these students.

Team members will attend GLAD trainings, collaborate on implementation within their PBL units, and lead professional learning through their school’s shared leadership model.
